Saffron (सैफरन )

Saffron is used for asthma, cough, whooping cough (pertussis), and to loosen phlegm (as an expectorant). It is also used for sleep problems (insomnia), cancer, “hardening of the arteries” (atherosclerosis), intestinal gas (flatulence), epression, Alzheimer’s disease, fright, shock, spitting up blood (hemoptysis), pain, heartburn, and dry skin.

Women use saffron for menstrual cramps and premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Men use it to prevent early orgasm (premature ejaculation) and infertility.

Process of getting saffron:-
 The process of getting saffron is actually the difficult procees. People have to get up early in the frezzzing morning  and before sun rise they have to pluck  all the saffron flowers .

 Yet sometimes the saffron get freeze into the field due to heavy showers & snow . This will affect the seeds too.

Saffron:

The seeds of saffron are usally grow in cold places . It need moist soil and excess of heat are harmful for saffron seeds .

Its take approx year or more to reproduce  their baby seeds . Once the reproduction cycle of the saffron bulbs starts it will starting breaking the mother seeds into little newly born seeds. 

It's same as planting one tree and that one seeds multiply their seeds into number of fruits.

 Saffron flowers are pluck in the month of oct.  Its only 10-15 days yield but the revnue generated from this 10 -15 days interval. Is enough for farmers to earn good amount of revenue.

Saffron is world wide rare and useful spices . Its production is limited that why its is so much costly.
In foods, saffron is used as a spice, yellow food coloring, and as a flavoring agent.

In manufacturing, saffron extracts are used as fragrance in perfumes and as a dye for cloth.
